Modern Rebuild Following Storm Damage MAR-IC-LZ

After significant storm damage caused by a falling tree, this home required a full structural and interior renovation. The project transformed a heavily damaged property into a modern, functional, and visually striking space while addressing both structural repairs and aesthetic upgrades.

  • Date: December 2021
  • Project Type: Building Renovation

About this Project

The renovation involved extensive structural and interior work. Nine roof trusses were replaced, and the home was demolished to the studs where needed. The old kitchen was removed, and all attic and wall insulation was replaced and pretreated for longevity. A vaulted modern fireplace wall with integrated TV space was added to create a striking focal point. Flooring throughout the home was upgraded from tile to natural-look LVP, while the kitchen received new cabinets, countertops, and a herringbone imported backsplash. New lighting, drywall, and paint refreshed the interior, and all trim—including baseboards, case, and modern shaker doors—was replaced. Additional improvements included a pocket door and a heater added to the garage, resulting in a comprehensive, modernized home.

Completed living area featuring a modern fireplace and updated finishes

The completed project delivered a modern, functional, and highly finished home that exceeds its pre-storm condition. Structural integrity was fully restored, and the combination of upgraded finishes, open vaulted spaces, natural LVP flooring, and modern kitchen and fireplace elements created a contemporary living environment. Every detail from lighting to trim, was thoughtfully executed, transforming storm damage into a lasting upgrade in both style and comfort.
